Chubbs is 8+ years old and a bit overweight though he has lost 5 lbs recently....he is now 35# and his diet is half green beans! He's an owner turn in and not a minute too soon. Don't think his owners were doing much more than feeding him. Director Connie has issued a challenge to Chubbs and herself. They're all doing a mini 'Biggest Loser' His blood panel revealed that he is hypothyroid - low thyroid - very inexpensive medication will give him more pep and help take those pounds off and he's on his way! You can make an appt. to see him by emailing [email removed] B&B's Apple Valley sanctuary holda open house style adoptions on Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays from 10 to 3 and is open by appointment other weekdays. Sundays 11 am to 4 pm we have about 10 dogs at Petco/San Gabriel and Saturdays noon to 5 at Petsmart/Walnut in City of Industry. Chubbs accepts this great tremendous donation on behalf of himself and all his 'special' friends at B&B. Because both his hind legs were failing him, Chubbs had surgery several months ago on one leg. It took him months to rehabilitate, but he did it! He is now very mobile and has lost more weight! Truly a huge success story - we are so proud of him and love him to the moon and back~~~ Lovely personality!! If it's a puppy or a shy dog, only Apple Valley sanctuary meets are available. For everyone else, we have mobile adoptions available- please visit our home page for times & venues. The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90 dogs! Loads of fun. We can take about 10 dogs to the mobile events and want to get to know your family so, if you chose to come to one of our events, we'll have dogs that will be a good fit for you....We want the dog/s to succeed and for you to be happy! Note: For the mobile adoptions, please email us your application at least 3 days in advance! All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a new leash, collar, a coupon booklet from PetSmart and/or Petco, and all medical records.
