Heart is a 2 yr beagle mix gal - red and white w/ red ticking - just 25#! She is mostly red on top with white chest and belly and is a special gal who was not socialized as a pup; she's come a long ways with us, but is still quite fearful. It will take someone special to give her what she needs....time, patience, another dog..... She adores Mia; sleeps on my bed but doesn't allow me to pet her. She'll eat food from your hand and is excellent at catching a tossed treat....all experienced beagles are! If you have experience and success with this sort of dog, we'd love to meet you. A few years ago we had a similar young female - her new mom sent us photos of Susie sitting on the sofa that night - miraculous! She made a liar out of me - hope it happens again~~ If you are interested in this pooch, please email us your application at [email removed] so that we may set up a meet n' greet. Locations depend on the personality/age of the dog. If it's a puppy or a shy dog, only Apple Valley sanctuary meets are available. For everyone else, we have mobile adoptions available- please visit our home page for venues. Note: For the mobile adoptions, please email us your application at least 3 days in advance so that we can get to know you and your family. This helps us send compatible pooches. All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a new leash, collar, a coupon booklet from PetSmart and/or Petco, and all medical records.
