NOODLE.Here she is, a 3.5-year old Border Terrier Mix named Noodle. She is spayed and micro chipped and her vaccinations are current. She is used to living with several canine companions in her foster home where she runs and plays in a large, fenced yard and has access to a doggie door to the inside. As far as canine companions, she does well with most sizes, although she is best with dogs her own size or larger because she can be a little rough when playing and she has strong jaws and teeth. Noodle has a happy and obliging personality and she loves to be talked to by her people...she listens well, and has a very good memory. She is affectionate, sensitive, and definitely thrives when she has steady, loving interaction with her people. She does best with a regular schedule that she can count on for feeding times and bed times, etc. She is not a yappy girl; however, she does keep an eye on things and is sure to tell you not only that someone is at the door, but that the neighbor's dog has just walked past or that the UPS truck is across the street. Though quite active, Noodle is not constantly asking for attention. Permission to be near you, close at your feet or next to you on the sofa, some kind words as you go about your chores, and a couple of good hugs a day satisfies her. She does love to sleep on the bed -- she's sort of a canine hot water bottle because she's well behaved and quiet when she sleeps. The key to her heart is food but Noodle tends to get pudgy rather quickly so treats need to be tiny and low calorie. All in all, Noodle will be a steady, devoted family friend in her new, forever home, but she is not for people who want a dog "some of the time." If she doesn't feel like part of the family, she will not thrive.
